Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and raised by a mixed-ethnic, multiracial family. Jacqueline's father Elroy is from Sri Lanka (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother, Kim, a Malaysian. She has two elder brothers and two younger brothers. Her family was born and raised in Bahrain. The family of her parents been to the country in the 1980s as a result of the turmoil in Sri Lanka. When she finished her studies in Bahrain her family was granted an Scholarship to study at the University of Sydney, where she completed a bachelor's degree with a major in Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. As a lover of all different cultures and languages, she was a part of the Berlitz school of languages where she learned to speak Spanish and improve her French as well as Arabic. In 2006 she was named Miss Sri Lanka. Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe 2006 in March, 2006 and also competed at Miss Universe 2006. In 2006, she took home she won the Miss Sri Lanka title. After that, she went into the world of television, hosting the show about Sri Lankan companies called Lanka Business Report. Padukone has a daughter with badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was brought up in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. As a teenager, she played in national level badminton tournaments. She later resigned from playing and went on to become a fashion designer. Padukone's native language is Konkani. She is Mangalorean in her origins. Padukone Village is located in Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi Distric of Karnataka located in India. Prakash Padukone's father is an international badminton champion who retiring. Her mom is a traveling agent.
